- Do I need batteries to power the laser?
The AL3 is powered using Power over Ethernet. Each laser inclinometer connects to a POE power source. Use the optional Reader 3 for mobile POE and instant readout.
- Do you offer a custom adaptor plate for my PA?
We currently offer universal adaptor plates as well as custom adaptor plates for L-Acoustics line array systems including the K1, K2, and L2.
- How do I control my unit from the webpage?
First, you will need to set the IP address of the unit, or access it from it's default IP (192.168.1.100). Using the current IP of the unit, simply load the webpage and view the data you need. You can set a new IP address using this menu and designate IPs based on left or right side hangs.
- Is the AL3 Weatherproof?
The standard AL3 is not weatherproof, but we do have waterproofing kits available. We can also upgrade your unit for a fee. Contact us for more information.
- How many lasers will work on one network?
You can use as many lasers as you have IP addresses and PoE power available. Most setups are sufficient with 6 to 8 lasers, but having at least 2 is recommended. Set up each laser with it's own IP address on your private network and then log in via a browser each time you need to monitor angle information.
